This piece is mounted directly behind an entry way and and activated by an opening door. On one side of the doorway is a motion sensor, and nested inside the sculpture is a hair dryer and a bottle of vanilla room spray. When a viewer walks into the space, the room spray spritzes the air and the hair dryer disperses the scent. The gesture is an obsequious salutation and a loud disruption that draws attention to itself.
